The Professional Executive Programme (PEP) at the School of Humanities and Social Sciences, NTU was set up in January 2009. The PEP aims to conduct executive programmes for professionals in Singapore and beyond. The PEP programmes embrace three principles:
- PEP programmes are humanistic in nature: they are about people and their value systems in their own area of core competency.
- The analysis and policy implications of PEP programmes are scientifically based.
- PEP programmes advocate sustainable methods of meeting new challenges and solving problems.
These three principles, represented by HSS which stands for Humanity, Science and Sustainability, are the hallmarks of the PEP.

To contribute to raising the level of awareness of the HSS principles in the decision-making process of professionals in a fast changing environment.
